Building Families with Compassionate Care

Expert gestational carrier services for your unique path to parenthood.

At Advanced Fertility Center of Texas (AFCT), we understand that the path to parenthood is unique for every family. For some individuals and couples, using a gestational carrier (sometimes called a surrogate) is the safest and most effective way to bring a child into the world. Our Gestational Carrier Program provides expert medical care, emotional support, and a clear roadmap to help you achieve your dream of becoming a parent.

What Is a Gestational Carrier?

A gestational carrier (GC) is a woman who carries and delivers a baby for intended parents. Unlike traditional surrogacy, the carrier has no genetic connection to the child. The embryo is created using the intended mother's or donor's egg and the intended father's or donor's sperm through in vitro fertilization (IVF).

This option is often chosen by:

  • Women who cannot safely carry a pregnancy due to medical conditions
  • Same-sex male couples who wish to build a family
  • Individuals with a history of recurrent pregnancy loss or failed IVF cycles
  • Patients who have had a hysterectomy or were born without a uterus

For Heterosexual Couples

For some couples, infertility, health conditions, or past pregnancy loss make carrying a child impossible or unsafe. In these cases, a gestational carrier provides a safe, effective path to parenthood while allowing the intended mother or father to maintain a biological connection through their own eggs or sperm.

For Same-Sex Male Couples

For gay couples, gestational carriers make biological parenthood possible. One partner provides sperm, which is combined with donor eggs to create embryos. A chosen embryo is then transferred to the gestational carrier.

AFCT proudly supports LGBTQ+ families with advanced IVF care and seamless coordination with outside partners who assist with matching and legal services.

Concierge Support & Coordination

At AFCT, our focus is on providing the highest-quality medical care during IVF and embryo transfer. But we also know that building a family with a gestational carrier involves more than medicine.

That's why we help our patients connect with trusted agencies, legal experts, and companies that manage the non-medical aspects of the process. Many of these providers offer concierge-style services, which can include:

  • Matching with a qualified gestational carrier
  • Coordinating legal contracts and protections
  • Handling logistics and scheduling between all parties
  • Providing emotional and administrative support throughout the journey

By combining our medical expertise with the coordination services of specialized partners, intended parents can move forward with clarity and confidence.
